UNIQUE TAKE ON

AGELESS GAME

As flatmates, Chris and Ian would play chess in the evenings and concoct the architectural skylines of their dreams to compete in theoretical games, thus creating the concept of Skyline Chess.

The idea of products being a memento of relationships and occasion, combined with an architect’s eye for design and the appreciation of craftsmanship, led to the creation of a truly unique take on an ageless game.

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND
MATERIALS

As unequivocal ambassadors of craftsmanship, the quality of the materials used have been carefully selected and every detail meticulously considered

For the Luxury bronze sets, a lost-wax casting technique that dates back over 6,000 years is used by a foundry run by a small family business in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, safeguarding a timeless skill whilst creating a timeless game.

BESPOKE

DESIGN SERVICE

The bespoke design service is an integral part of the Skyline Chess offer - bringing poignant horizons to life for private and corporate clients alike in a range of different materials, including bronze, metals and marble. Be it a one-off set or larger runs, anything is possible.

Chris and Ian have capitalised on their individual skills, knowledge and experiences to design the products and grow the business to where it is today, reaching a global audience whilst ensuring an intimate experience with each and every customer.
